The nation is mourning, a cloud of sorrow hovers above King David Primary School, Ndejje and more questions being asked more than the answers. Seems the hand of death is still looming on school organized tours as another bus crashed last night while returning students who had gone for a trip.
The accident happened in Kamuli, Busota when a bus belonging to Buzaaya Secondary School carrying students of Nalango. S.S.S crashed into a stationary sugar cane truck. Unlike the Kapchorwa fatal incident, in Kamuli no one died but several were injured.

This was the fourth Accident in just 6 days happening just few hours after the bus carrying pupils of King David Primary School lost control control and veered off the road in Kapchorwa killing 20 pupils and the Director of the Scool Mr. Tadeo Ssekadde.
Before this accident a Bus belonging to Amuria High School carrying students of St. Paul S.S.S Katakwi also crashed into a stationary trailer along the Tirinyi highway killing the Driver and injuring 15 students. Another bus carrying students of Mwebaze High School collided with a train along the Mukono-Katosi road killing two people and injuring several students on Thursday last week.

It’s upon such a background that the Minister of Education Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo suspended all school organized trips/ tours until investigations and guidelines are put in place by the relevant key stake holders. Unfortunately by the time the directive to suspend was issued, several schools were already on the way including students of Nalango S.S.S in Kamuli whose bus crashed into a stationary truck.
