In another development as the president Museveni tightens the noose on former Speaker Anita Among’s neck over corruption and illicit wealth, security have raided her other home in Kigo along Entebbe road as she continues to pay for her sins committed over the last five years. The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) y signed a Memorandum of Understanding and issued an operational license to US-based Starlink communications guru, paving the way for the satellite internet provider to begin formal operations in the country. The Ministry of Health has confirmed an outbreak of Ebola Bundibugyo Virus Disease following the death of a 59-year-old Congolese national who had been admitted to Kibuli Muslim Hospital in Kampala. According to a press statement issued this evening, the patient was admitted on May 11 after presenting with respiratory distress, fever, epigastric pain, nausea, and difficulty passing urine. His condition later deteriorated, and he died on May 14 while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit, where he reportedly developed bleeding symptoms. The body was later transported back to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the same day.…

Kitgum Main Market is still operating below capacity, more than two years after its commissioning, raising concerns over declining local revenue collection. The 2.6 billion Shillings market, constructed under the Markets and Agricultural Trade Improvement Programme-II (MATIP II), was commissioned in October 2023 by President Yoweri Museveni.
