On the evening of Monday January, 13, 2025, Kamwokya was a danger zone as a joint operation of security forces “foiled” what they referred to as an attempted robbery. At the beginning of last year in what was dubbed as the Uganda Parliament Exhibition, parliament records leaked online showed how Commissioner of Parliament Mathias Mpuuga and other three commissioners in a meeting chaired by Speaker of Parliament a whooping Shs1.7bn among themselves as Service Award. A section of Association of Uganda Tour Operators (AUTO) members have written to the AUTO executive committee calling for the cancellation of the upcoming AUTO elections.
