Several news outlets had earlier published stories indicating that former Minister and Attorney General Kiddu Makubuya had died. On verifying, it wasn’t true according to his daughter.
His Children Rebecca Nabbagala and Tessie Kavuma Kiddu have downplayed the reports which were first shared by the Uganda’s National Broadcaster UBC. These say their dad is alive but admitted at Nakasero hospital.
They however didn’t divulge much into the details regarding the Former Attorney General’s health.
Makubuya is a seasoned and celebrated legal mind in Uganda and beyond the boarders. Before resigning from cabinet, he served in several positions in Museveni’s government as minister and Attorney General.
He represented Katikamu South in parliament in 1996 and was part of the Constitutional Assembly that put together the current 1995 Constitution of the republic of Uganda.
