Masaka City Women MP who was announced winner by courts of law and was sworn in at parliament on Friday afternoon Justine Nameere has changed her tone and is nolonger supporting troubled Anita Among anymore for speakership.
This toning down follows a brutal arrest on Friday night by men in Uniform with guns who bundled her in a Toyota Hiace famously known as Drone. Prior to her arrest, Nameere had a verbal exchange with PLU secretary Gneral David Kabanda who she accused of betrayal and dishonesty after he announced that Muhoozi and PLU are nolonger supporting Anita Among and Thomas Tayebwa for re-election as Speaker and Deputy speaker of Parliament respectively.
Reports suggest that upon her arrest, Nameere was driven to her home in Munyonyo and sacks of money in billions linked to former Speaker Anita Among were discovered. She was also accused of threatening NRM MPs who were set to attend Jacob Oboth Oboth’s thanks giving ceremony which happened yesterday in Mukono.
If not toned down, Nameere’s loud mouth might land her in trouble again since the dynamics have changed ever since her father former Minister of Agriculture Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja was thrown out cabinet and even lost the Kalungu East election to young star Yusuf Kiruruta Nkeretanyi in January 2026.
