With few days ahead of the 2026 General Elections on Thursday this week, all candidates especially those vying for presidency are making final arrangements and last touches on their trails to convince Ugandans that they’re the best for the country’s top job.
Four time presidential candidate Rtd Dr. Kiiza Besigye who is currently detained at Luzira Prisons since November 2024 has boosted candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine with a package of cash to support his final touches of his campaign trail.
This cash package was delivered by Besigye’s wife Winnie Byanyima during who revealed that Besigye’s friends fundraised and the incarcerated firebrand politician told her to deliver this cash to Bobi Wine as the NUP candidate makes final touches on his trail.
Bobi Wine is making a 2nd shot to challenge Museveni’s four-decade rule after he put up a spirited contest in 2021. Even with 8 candidates this time round, the battle looks to be a two- men contest of Museveni and Bobi Wine whose battle lines have clearly been drawn.
