In the news this afternoon, detectives have reportedly searched the home of missing former CID spokesperson Charles Twiine who has been missing since last week after meeting the police boss.
It was revealed that Twine was last Wednesday summoned by his boss at Naguru. He drove from Mbarara back to Kampala for an urgent meeting with IGP Abbas Byakabaga. After the meeting he was reportedly handed over to SFC commandos who were in parking waiting for him.
He has been missing since then with army and police denying knowledge of his where abouts until today when detectives showed up with him at his home in Kasangati where his home was searched.
According to his wife Kate Kabagenyi, her husband was brought home by plain clothed detectives and counter terrorism cops. He was however not allowed to talk to anyone as every body just looked on as the detectives searched the house.
