In the news this morning, an Assistant Resident City Commissioner serving in Museveni’s government has been killed in cold blood causing pain, grief and sorrow to his family, friends and relatives.
Karim Mwase the ARCC of Lira City was brutally murdered and his body dumped in Nakalama sub-county along the Iganga- Bugiri highway in Iganga district. Reports indicate that unknown assailants intercepted Mwase on his way from Bugweri District where had attended a public function on Sunday.
According to the Iganga Deputy RDC Kato Dauda, the attackers abandoned Mwase’s lifeless body inside his vehicle. Authorities have since tranfered his body to the Iganda General Hospital mortuary where it awaits a postmortem.
The Deputy RDC Kato further says the attackers barricaded Mwase’s car as he was speed back to Iganga, strangled him and fled the scene. Busoga East Police has dispartched a team of detectives to reconstruct the crime scene and collect exhibits of evidential value as others have already started investigations to bring the killers to book.
