Bobi Wine says when Ssegirinya’s mother who has been by his bedside all through his prolonged battle with sickness was told this, she immediately announced his passing but the party has sent a team to the hospital to monitor the situation at Rubaga Hospital.

What does it mean when someone is brain dead?

Brain death is a legal definition of death. It is the complete stopping of all brain function and cannot be reversed. It means that, because of extreme and serious trauma or injury to the brain, the body’s blood supply to the brain is blocked, and the brain dies. Brain death is death. It is permanent.

Scientists say once brain death is declared, it is considered irreversible, and the person is legally and medically considered deceased, even if their heart continues to beat with the help of life support machine.

We continue praying for Mr. Update Muhammad Ssegirinya. He has been in and out of hospitals for the last five years. But the situation worsened when he was released from Kitalya prison where he had been incarcerated for over a year on charges related to the 2021 Masaka Bijambiya.

He has been in politics for long from being a Lord counselor at KCCA from 2016 to 2021 before being voted massively to parliament in 2021 on the National Unity Platform ticket.
