Sad news this afternoon indicate that veteran politician Dr.Frank Nabwiso has died from a hospital in Kampala. The outspoken opposition politician has died from Namirembe hospital where he had been admitted for some time.
A cloud of sorrow hovers above the FDC party he has served diligently, the Busoga region and Kagoma constituency which he served as member of parliament in the 7th parliament. He’s also a former Vice Chancellor of the Busoga University.

The veteran politician and educator even contested for the mayorship of the then newly created Jinja City. He outlined his vision of the city and the experience he would bring to it’s leadership but he didn’t win and instead NUP’s Kasolo Alton took the day.
The 83-year-old Dr. Frank Nabwiso has written very many books. His works include three books detailing the history of Busoga Kingdom’s 11 hereditary chiefs and biographies of Dr James Batwala, a renowned obstetrician/ gynecologist and Yekonia Zirabamuzaale, the first MP from the Busoga Sub-region in 1945.
