Today’s attack just like the previous one two years ago has left many questions because around the same date on 28th July 2021, Bishop Niringiye was attacked and hit with a brick while jogging in the evening near Legacy courts in Ntinda at around 6:45pm.
Eye witness who are speaking in the video say the attackers were on a Boda boda and after kicking him hard, they left him to struggle for his life. Onlookers came to the rescue of the retired Bishop and took him to hospital.
The man of God had, especially in the last years of his service in the Church, become increasingly critical of what he calls abuse of power and corruption. Zac Niringiye took an early retirement from serving as Assistant Bishop in the Church of Uganda in 2012, to serve in the cause of social justice and good governance in Uganda.
At the time of filing this, police was yet to comment on the incident.
