BIG STORY: What Kenyan Ministers Have Said After Being Fired By President Ruto

Kenya’s President in a dramatic turn of events fired his entire cabinet and opted for an all inclusive government which he’ll be announcing in few days after consultations from different individuals, political formations, both in public and private.

Ruto fired all ministers and only retained his cabinet prime secretary Musalia Mudavadi and the Deputy Rigathi Gachagua. According to Ruto, he made up this decision after keenly reflecting and listening to to Kenyans especially GenZ who called for cabinet changes and also told Ruto step down after weeks of protests over the affairs of the country.

The Finance bill 2024 which had been introduced by the Ruto government caused fury as Kenyans expressed discontent that it would make the already high standard of living more harder. The Kenyans would later storm the streets, overpower police, gain access to parliament as the security forces opened fire to them injuring several and killing many.

President Ruto consequently rejected the bill and declined to sign on it and ordered for it’s withdrawal. This however didn’t help as the determined youths continued protesting calling for more from Ruto including stepping down from power.

TOO LATE, TOO LITTLE. JUST RESIGN

Zakayo @WilliamsRuto, Kenyans want you, @rigathi, @MusaliaMudavadi and your entire ROTTEN government – including the 52 rotten PSs, hundreds of Senior Advisors, Bureaucrats and thousands of graft riddled CEOs – to RESIGN.

You, Rigathi and…

It was until yesterday that the 5th president of Kenya pulled off a surprise decision and sent all his ministers home. Some of these had been voted as Members of Parliament on the United Democratic Alliance [UDA], Ruto’s party and others from other parties but relinquished their MP seats to take up cabinet positions in the Kenya Kwanza government and now they’re back to square one.

Those fired have taken to their social media platforms post their sign out messages and wishing the president well in his endeavors without them.
