In the news this morning, former long serving Executive Secretary of the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Mathew Bukenya has died. Sources say he was in his early 90s.
The news of his death has been shared by the Examinations body and its Mouthpiece Jenifer Kalule who in a statement said they are saddened by his passing on. Bukenya was the Executive secretary of UNEB between April 1995 to April 2016.

He was called out of retirement to head UNEB where he had served as an accountant earlier. He replaced David Livingstone Ongom who was fired by government at the height of examination practices.
Bukenya was replaced by Daniel Nokrach Odongo who was his deputy at the time of his retirement.
