The Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has blasted the Uganda Police for the high handedness on Bobi Wine and his supporters especially this week when he returned to campaign in and around Kampala. The Education service commission has in a list released on 19th November 2025 confirmed a total of 439 officers to serve in the education sector and health in different positions across the country. Those confirmed include Assistant Education officers, Laboratory Assistants, Education officers, Senior Assistant Accountants, Enrolled nurses, Library Assistants, and Stenographer Secretaries. Kampala Metropolitan police region which comprises of Kampala City, Mukono and Wakiso Districts has got a new police spokesperson in the new changes announced by the police Chief Abas Byakagaba. The new Spokesperson of Kampala Metropolitan is Racheal Kawala who has been the spokesperson for Wamala region headquartered in Mityana. Commissioners of Parliament who were in the news in 2023 and the better part of 2024 for awarding themselves a whooping Shs1.7bn with former Leader of Opposition Mathias Mpuuga taking the lion’s share with Shs500m and the other three commissioner Esther Afoyochan, Prossy Akampurira and Solomon Silwany taking Shs400m each.
