President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa has today expressed his dissatisfaction with the Supreme court over their landmark ruling which brought an end to the trial of civilians in the General Court Martial. The ruling has since been welcomed as a sigh of relief and hope for the rule of law. The Electoral Commission has today, Monday, commenced the exercise for the general update of the National Voters Register in preparation for the 2025-2026 General Elections. The update exercise will be conducted from 20th January until 10th February 2025 at update stations as shall be publicized for each of the 10,717 parishes/wards throughout Uganda, starting from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm every day, including weekends.
