As Ugandans come to terms about Besigye’s deteriorating health that has raised concerns with people from different walks of life urging government to release firebrand politician to seek medication, a top Museveni minister has paid him a visit in prison today. In the news this evening, Uganda Law Society President Isaac Ssemakadde has been sentenced to two years in prison and fined Shs300m by High Court Judge Musa Sekaana for abusing him. The issue at hand emanates from Ssemakade’s reaction against a ruling in December last year where Musa Sekaana halted the Uganda Law Society extra ordinary meeting that was set to take place on 17th December 2024. Owing to the death of Prof Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebire on January 23rd 2022, president Museveni has finally named Dr Micheal Atingi-Ego as the new Bank Of Uganda. Atingi has been Deputy Governor since 29th March 2020 and his contract was set to expire on 23rd April 2025. While interviewing state house big lady general Prossy Nalweyiso, youtuber Dean Saava lied to her that he was being persecuted by high court judges and online media regulators like UCC because of his determination to fight corruption.
