Paying teachers in the same profession differently is an abuse and bastardization of the profession. It can kill and destroy civilization and the nation at large. Creating classes within the same profession is like driving a wedge deliberately into the profession by intentionally creating a disparity in their salary which to me is a bad and sinister motive.
This can only be done by someone who is not mentally sound, someone of a medieval mind, an outdated mind. It demotivates the good patriotic mind of a civil servant but it can also erode the moral being of a teacher and discourage others from studying the humanities.
Creating such disparities in the same sectors of the civil service is a very bad idea. It should be stopped and discouraged. The implications can be grave. There will be low morale and low turnover for teachers including poor performance.
Humanities are crucial that’s why they are about us humans, they are essential for communication, designing, social cohesion, and critical thinking. Without designers, then who will build your beautiful houses, without designers who will design your smartphones, weapons, cars, airplanes, shoes, dresses, menswear, TV sets, radio sets, roads, bridges, etc? Even after a chemist has invented medicine, it would still need a designer to mould the machine to blend the cocktail and make it usable for the end user. Who will design the medical equipment like X-ray machines, MRI scanners, dental gadgets, laptops, computers, the list is endless.
Therefore, both science and the arts coexist. None can exist without the other. Humanities is about the way we live. It even teaches scientists how to write and think. Those who want to prioritize sciences over the arts should think twice.
