Having been abducted 9 days ago by SFC soldiers who were armed and driving in a ‘drone’, Bobi Wine’s bodyguard Edward Rogers Ssebuufu alias Eddy Mutwe has been dumped at a court in Masaka after undergoing life threatening torture in the hands of the Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Muhoozi Kienerugaba.

In a string of mocking posts of his X formerly twitter account, Muhoozi revealed that he’s holding Eddy Mutwe in his basement and is teaching him Runyankore. He would later post half naked photos of Mutwe looking tortured and his beards chopped off.

This caused a storm online with majority especially Banyankore distancing themselves and slamming the army boss for attaching Runyankore with torturing of Museveni opponents. The Uganda Human Rights Commission issued a release order to Muhoozi to have Eddy Mutwe set free and over three days later, they’re parading him in court.

Eddy Mutwe is set to appear in court this afternoon for yet to be disclosed case just like his other colleagues who are Bobi Wine’s bodyguards Achileo kivumbi, Gaddafi Mugumya and Grace Wakabi Smart. They’re accused of theft, destroying property and have since been committed to the high court which their party believe is witch-hunt.

The release of Eddy Mutwe from the basement comes after Buganda Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga slammed Muhoozi and urged him to handover Mutwe to police if he has any cases to answer other than torturing him.

It’s been revealed that Eddy Mutwe has been remanded to Masaka Main prison with charges yet to be known despite his sorry state after being tortured by security operatives. The court session was hurriedly done and no journalist was allowed to see or cover the same.
