Special Forces Commandos an elite force with in the army tasked with the security of the President and the first family on Monday this week stormed the home of former Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago in Wakaliga and bundled him in a waiting Toyota Hiace commonly known as a drone.
His family, Friends, lawyers searched for him and couldn’t find him. They got to know about his whereabouts on X formerly twitter where the Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Muhoozi Keinerugaba was sharing photos of Lukwago in what seemed like a torture chamber similar to that where he tortured Bobi Wine’s bodyguard Eddie Mutwe from.
Several X users told Muhoozi that it was nolonger funny anymore to torture people and told him if Lukwago has a case to answer, he should hand him to police and let courts of law try him than behaving like Uganda is a lawless country.
Indeed Muhoozi has bowed to pressure and dumped former Lord Mayor Lukwago at Kira Division police where his family, friends and lawyers have been given chance to meet him to assess his situation and know his condition since he’s sick and needs medical attention. Police dispersed journalists and other people who had gone to see Lukwago only granted his Lawyer Medard Lubega Ssegona to see him.
Reports also have it that Lukwago will face treason charges and is being added to Dr. Kiiza Besigye’s case as a co-accused. This leaves Besigye’s legal team disorganized yet the case was set to begin in the high court infront of a no-nonsense Justice Emmanuel Baguma.
