Speaker Anita Among is under fire after a video last evening went viral when she’s telling Members of parliament in support of the rationalization of the Uganda Coffee Development authority (UCDA) to be taken back to it’s mother ministry that they must make sure Buganda doesn’t get the numbers.
Anita Among remains mute, she is yet to issue a statement, hasn’t denied or apologized for regionalizing the Coffee issue yet coffee is now grown countrywide and the implications of pulling it back to the ministry of Agriculture will affect positively or negatively all Ugandans.
As the pressure increases with some even suggesting that the Speaker Apologizes for the tribal sentiments or even resign which is in actual sense an impossible dream, Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga has thrown his behind those against the rationalization of the Coffee Development Authority to the Agriculture ministry.

Mayiga believes the MPs supporting the rationalization including the Speaker of parliament Anita Among are punishing and plotting against Buganda which produces almost 50% of the total coffee production in Uganda.
The Katikiro further emphasized Buganda’s position on eliminating the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) saying its a punishment to Ugandans who depend on coffee.
“Apparently, scrapping UCDA is a punishment against Baganda, who contribute nearly 50% of coffee exports, since Speaker Anita Among (and those who support scrapping UCDA) see the Amendment Bill as a vitory against Baganda!”-CP Mayiga posted
The Kingdom of Buganda has severally advised against scrapping UCDA since it suprintends coffee production, upon which nearly 2 million Ugandan households depend.
