The democratic party has initiated a move to end their cooperation with NRM ahead of the 2026 general elections whose road map has since began with parties commencing internal polls to select flag bearers. The NRM and Democratic party inked a deal in July 2022 for cooperation on several fronts. News getting to our Desk indicate that the Ministry of health has confirmed a Cholera outbreak three weeks after declaring Ebola outbreak in Uganda. The Cholera outbreak has been confirmed at Panyadoli Refugee Settlement in Kiryandongo district. The confirmation was made last evening during a stake holder’s meeting held at the Kiryandongo district headquarters where officials revealed that Cholera samples taken to the Uganda Virus Research Institute came out positive.
