Kiboga prison was a scene of fear and panic as a no nonsense prison Warder opened fire at his bosses leaving three dead instantly adding to a string of gun violence by men in uniform who turn the guns to each other and sometimes to civilians.
The trigger-happy cop has been identified as No 13544 Warder Anguyo Moses who fled the scene after shooting his bosses Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Hope Catherine the (Deputy Officer in charge), Principal Officer I Akishuri Bright (3rd in Command) and Ms. Ayebare Sarah spouse of the officer in charge. Three other people got injured and have since been rushed to Kiboga Hospital for treatment.
In a statement released by Frank Baine the prisons spokesperson, the incident happened at 10am. The suspect who is currently on the run fled the scene immediately as police was called in to secure the scene of crime as joint security operations continue pursuing the suspect.
“Police was immediately called in and secured the scene of crime. Joint security operations are currently pursuing the suspect. Although the gun used in the shooting has been recovered, the suspect remains at large and is considered dangerous. Anyone with valuable information regarding his whereabouts is urged to inform police”-the prisons statement reads.
