On Monday as Bobi Wine returned to Kampala for presidential campaigns after trekking several districts in Eastern, Western, West Nile, and Central, police unleashed all manners of force onto supporters of National Unity Platform.
At all the two rallies in Kawempe north and Kawempe south, police used electric teasers, tear gas and bullets to disperse the chanting crowds of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine.

The police brutality made news as usual but what caught the attention of human rights activists is the fact that police unleashed canine dogs onto the crowds who were determined to follow Kyagulanyi wherever he was going.
Uganda police has now come out to reveal that they unleashed the killer animals onto NUP supporters to detect military equipment but not to attack the crowds yet some supporters were seen being attacked by the dogs and tore their clothes.
“The dogs were not deployed to attack; they are not attack dogs. We have dogs that we are deploying for sensing, probably for detecting military equipment”-said SP Lule Patrick.
