Kampala Metropolitan police region which comprises of Kampala City, Mukono and Wakiso Districts has got a new police spokesperson in the new changes announced by the police Chief Abas Byakagaba.
The new Spokesperson of Kampala Metropolitan is Racheal Kawala who has been the spokesperson for Wamala region headquartered in Mityana. She replaces Patrick Onyango who has been the KMP spokesperson since 2018.
In the changes, Patrick Onyango has been moved to the Community Policing Command to head publications. The changes haven’t affected KMP Deputy Spokesperson Afande Luke Owoyesigyire who remains put in Kampala as the country prepares for the 2026 General Elections.
