In the news this evening, Former Deputy Inspector General Of Police Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi has been involved in a serious road accident as he returned from the give away function of President Museveni’s grand daughter Nsasiirwe Keinembabazi in Ssembabule.
Preliminary reports indicate that Muzeyi’s convoy involved in a head on collision with a fuso truck which was carrying cows causing great damage on the driver’s side. In videos circulating on social media, locals are heard saying the Gen was driving himself.
He has since been airlifted to Nakasero hospital aboard a UPDF chopper but in critical condition but the condition of the other people he was traveling with remains unknown.

The 49-year old army general was the Deputy Inspector General of police between 4th March 2018 until 16th December 2020 when he was dropped and replaced by the late Maj Gen Paul Lokech. Muzeyi was later appointed the General Manager of Luwero Industries which is affiliated to the army’s National Enterprise Corporation.
