The National Resistance Movement, a party which has been in government for the last four decades is preparing for this year’s National Delegate’s conference which is happening next week at Kololo Independence grounds.
Over 40,000 delegates drawn from across the country will converge to discuss very important matters about their party NRM. Top on the agenda is the election of big bosses to sit on the party’s Central Executive Committee which is chaired by president Museveni who also doubles as the party’s chairperson.
Apart from Museveni’s position of chairperson which is reserved for him alone, all the other positions in the CEC are now up for grabs after the term of the existing bosses expired. They are back to the ring to contest and sit on the party’s apex body where those who sit there earn and get privileges like those of ministers.
