Uganda Cranes have made history after qualifying out of the group stages of the CHAN for the first time in very years. The Cranes came in this game as the group leaders but needed a win or a draw to qualify to the next stage.
The Cranes lost to Algeria in their opening match but made a come back to get a win against Guinea, Niger and now draw with South Africa toppling Group C with 7 points.
As It Happened:Â
Cranes got their first goal in the 31st minute as Jude Ssemugabi sent the host in an early lead. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Cranes until the 53rd minute when the Bafana Bafana of South Africa equalized through Ramahlwe Mphahlele.

Five minutes later in the 58th minute, Thabiso Kutumela made it 2-1 in favor of South Africa. It was a hard fight with South Africa stunning the hosts in the 78th Minute as Ndabayihetwa Ndlondlo made it 3-1.
Many Ugandan fans had started leaving the stadium, few minutes to stoppage time, Uganda got a penalty which Allan Okello netted. Pressure mounted as South Africa packed it’s defense and in two minutes to full time, Uganda got another penalty which captain Rogers Torach also netted.
Sending the fans to party, into frenzy, and excitement for having made it 3-3 which sent Uganda cranes top of Group C. At Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Argeria drew with Niger settling for the 2nd position in the group with 6 points.
