And so the party begins, Cerebrations and happiness fill the hearts of Ugandans after Uganda cranes stunned Niger 2-0 in the CHAN 2024 third game despite starting on a low note after losing 3-0 to Algeria in the first match
Thanks to goals from Allan Okello in the 25th minute and Joel Sserunjoji in the 56th minute, Uganda now goes top of Group C at 6 points with South Africa and Algeria who sit 2nd and 3rd in the group with 4 points each.
Earlier, South Africa beat Guinea 2-1 leaving Syli Nationale (National Elephants) winless in all their last three matches.
South Africa takes on Guinea and Algeria takes on Niger on Friday this week as Uganda Cranes now have 7 days to prepare for their last group match against South Africa on Monday 18th.
