Events promoter and Minister for Youth and Children Affairs Balaam Barugahara was involved in an accident in Kagadi district as he was heading to an event in Fortporatal district for a youth event.
In videos and photos making rounds on social media, the Minister’s post car registration number UG400006 is seen crashed on the drivers side but the unfortunate side is that a boda boda rider who was knocked and died instantly.
In a statement he posted on his social media accounts, Minister Balaam revealed that he survived a horrific accident but sadly a boda boda rider died and two of his people were injured at the scene.
“Thank God for His mercy . Our car was involved in a horrific accident in Kagadi on our way to Fort Portal for the Tooro kingdom annual Youth Conference . I’m grateful for our driver’s quick thinking and skillful maneuvers that saved us . Sadly, a boda boda rider lost his life, and two of our people were injured. May the deceased soul rest in peace. My condolences to the family, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.”- Balaam posted.
