Fear and panic has gripped residents in Munyonyo near the Uganda Martyrs Basilica in Munyonyo as an explosion was heard few minutes and it’s been confirmed that a bomb went off killing two people instantly. The two were riding on a boda boda.
According to reports, the two a man and a woman were riding on a boda boda and they were approaching the Martyrs Church in Munyonyo, the bomb went off on the woman who was reportedly wearing it.

Reports also suggest that the two were being trailed by the Joint Anti-Terrorism task force JATT who are believed to have made it difficult for the suicide bombers to enter or get nearer the church.
It’s not yet clear what the motive was but police is yet to issue a statement.
