As Ugandans come to terms about Besigye’s deteriorating health that has raised concerns with people from different walks of life urging government to release firebrand politician to seek medication, a top Museveni minister has paid him a visit in prison today.
The concerns gained momentum this week when Besigye appeared before the Buganda Road court looking frail and struggling to gasp breathe when the magistrate declined to issue an order release for Besigye to be able to seek medication.

On top of the worrying health situation is Museveni’s son also the Chief of Defense Forces who keep positing on his X account revealing how him and his father are going to kill Besigye. Muhoozi has always said that Besigye will come out of Luzira in a coffin, whether he’s serious or not, this causes more pain for Besigye, his supporters and relatives.

Now, Minister Dr Chris Baryomunsi has revealed in a post on X formerly twitter that he has visited Dr. Kiiza Besigye in hospital where he found his Doctors tending to him. Baryomunsi says he told Besigye to resume eating food such that he doesn’t starve him as government fast tracks transfer of his file from the military court to the high court following the Supreme Court ruling.
I have just visited Col Dr Kiiza Besigye at Luzira prison in the presence of his personal doctors. I have given him counsel and asked him to resume taking food as the government fast tracks the transfer of his case from the court martial to a civil court.
