Fired Museveni RDC Herbert Anderson Burora who was fired by the office of the president early this for his activism against corruption in parliament has declared his bid for Nakawa West constituency which is currently represented by the Leader of Opposition in parliament Joel Ssenyonyi.
Burora was fired and later arrested by parliament’s police for being too hard on Speaker Anita Among over corruption who he cryptically referred to as Marie Antoinette during media talk shows.
His stance against corruption despite being a former RDC elicited mixed reactions and majority predicted he was joining active politics though he hadn’t revealed which constituency ahead of 2026.
He gained public attention as an activist with the Jobless Brotherhood, a pressure group known for it’s daring protests. These used to drop piglets at parliament during the 9th parliament to highlight corruption and mismanagement. Now Burora wants to go to parliament come 2026, not to throw piglets but as a member of parliament.
He made the revelation this evening while appearing on a talk show in Kampala and he vowed to unseat Ssenyonyi as the general elections draw closer.
“I request the people of Nakawa especially the common people to trust and support me. I also urge them to trust me with their problems which they think are impossible because am tested and i have the ability and i know what to do”-said Burora
