Moses Kimera one of the NUP leaders who chairs all Kunga mobilisation activities in Katikamu north Luwero district, has denounced incumbent MP Denis Sekabira who comes from the same party like him.
Kimera told people during a weekend function where he made a speech that he had decided to campaign and vote for Ronald Ndawula of the NRM come 2026.
Ndawula is a former Luwero LC5 district chairman and currently is the chairman for NRM in Luwero district. Ndawula is seeking to become the new MP for Katikamu North come 2026 which means removing Denis Sekabira of NUP.
Sekabira is being rejected by many fellow MPs and NUP leaders in Luwero because they say he behaves like a crook from the ruling NRM party to which he belonged in Nakaseke before he opportunistically joined NUP in 2021 to benefit from the Bobi Wine wind.
Luwero Mayor Buwembo is of NUP and he is one of the many party leaders who don’t see eye to eye with Sekabira anymore.
They accuse him of fighting fellow NUP leaders like woman MP Brenda Nabukenya. He is backing Cissy Mulondo of NRM to become the new woman MP Luwero come 2026.
During the weekend ceremony whose video has gone viral, Moses Kimera told the gathering he is already mobilising for Ndawula because he means well and he is more development oriented than Sekabira who specializes in hiring goons to beat fellow NUP leaders.
Kimera is the man in the viral video who was beaten by goons when he came to participate in registration of new NUP members. He was beaten by thugs who accused him of abusing Bobi Wine on social media.
He says he has never and can never abuse Bobi Wine because he is his party President and blames Sekabira for hiring the thugs who thumped him like a chicken thief.
Moses Kimera told the gathering that even Bobi Wine had allowed them to support leaders who are morally upright and people-centered even if they don’t belong to NUP and keep away from those calling themselves NUP but are evil in the way they behave and treat Ugandans.
Moses Kimera says that Ndawula is a good man even though he is NRM because he has a good track record as LC5 chairman Luwero who did many good things for the district. Kimera adds that Ndawula is much better than Sekabira who isn’t fit to be a leader anywhere because of his thuggish politics.
Kimera says many insiders in NUP will vote for Ndawula in order to punish Sekabira who is fond of hiring goons to beat those who don’t agree with his approach.
Kimera also says Sekabira is a user who used his studio as campaign offices but dumped and started fighting him after winning to become Katikamu north MP.
He told the gathering at the weekend that even Bobi Wine doesn’t like Sekabira anymore which is why he refused to meet him to shake hands and take photographs together.
