– Kampala Uganda:- MTN Uganda has today announced a contribution of approximately UGX 50.55 billion to the Uganda Communications Commission’s Universal Service and Access Fund (UCUSAF), marking the company’s largest annual contribution to date towards expanding telecommunication services in underserved communities. This development reflects MTN Uganda’s deepening commitment to accelerating digital inclusion and supporting national efforts to expand ICT infrastructure and services to all Ugandans, regardless of location or income level. In the news this morning, an Assistant Resident City Commissioner serving in Museveni’s government has been killed in cold blood causing pain, grief and sorrow to his family, friends and relatives. Karim Mwase the ARCC of Lira City was brutally murdered and his body dumped in Nakalama sub-county along the Iganga- Bugiri highway in Iganga district. Reports indicate that unknown assailants intercepted Mwase on his way from Bugweri District where had attended a public function on Sunday. Pope Francis died on 21st April 2025 a day after waving at 1000s of Catholics who had gathered at the St. Peters square to celebrate Easter.
