VIDEO: Museveni Now Says He’ll Soon Die, Go To Heaven Be With Jesus And Leave Ugandans With Their Problems

President Museveni is back on the road, he early this week resumed his PDM regional tours and this time round, the caravan of wealth creation is in Buganda region after going to Bukedi, Teso, Sebei, Bugisu, Busoga, Lango, Kigezi, Ankole and Bunyoro regions.

As it’s the norm wherever he goes, the president had a face off with the media in Mubende where he talked about a number of issues. He lashed at those who practice politics of identity which he says is not good for the country he has led for a whooping 4 decades since the mid 1980s.

Museveni also took a swipe at the youths who don’t talk about the East African Community and instead leave him the old man to spread the gospel alone yet he’s soon dying to go heaven and be with his Jesus and leave Ugandans with their problems. He pointed out a country like Tanganyika which united with Zanzibar to form the United Republic of Tanzania which he says is moving on well.

“Tanganyika and Zanzibar united and formed United Republic of Tanzania, now Tanzania is moving and it has been their since all this time. You are there as youths, you don’t talk about the East African Federation, it’s only me the old man who talks about Federation, at my age am going to heaven and leave you with your problems. Am now 80, my daughters said i will make 100 years so am left with only 20 years to go to heaven and be with Jesus and you stay with your problems”-Said Museveni.

The president further lashed at those who focus a lot of energy on praising Buganda Buganda instead of emphasizing wealth creation. He said what the Baganda are lacking is a bigger space to help Buganda get out of poverty.

“Why would anybody be telling you about Buganda Buganda Buganda, Buganda is here now. The Baganda are all here now, why don’t they buy your Maize….” Said Museveni.

However, Buganda kingdom in particular has launched a series of campaigns to empower it’s subjects to fight poverty. Among these is ‘Emwanyi terimba’ which has greatly supported coffee growing. Buganda kingdom some years ago launched a campaign to grow cassava after signing a partnership deal with a brewing company to turn cassava into bear and many other programs that have greatly helped their subjects to create wealth.

Unlike other regions, Buganda stands out as one of the regions which is not so much affected with poverty like Karamoja, Busoga, Lango and other regions respectively where poverty has a permanent seat according to reports by UBOS.

Over the years, government has launched several programs like Bonna Bagawale, NAADS, Operation Wealth Creation, now PDM  among others aimed at driving more Ugandans into the money economy but on the contrary. Many Ugandans continue being poor despite the gospel of wealth creation by the president.

Museveni has been president of Uganda for the longer period of almost 40 years than any other former president. He’s contesting again in 2026 to push his stay to 45 years but signs are also visible that he’s preparing his son who is now the Commander of the Defense Forces (CDF) to take over seat or throne from him when he finally makes up his mind to retire from politics.
