While appearing on NBS TV’s frontline program where journalist Andrew Mwenda repeatedly and claimed Besigye was planning to kill president Museveni in cold blood, he hinted about Museveni’s rumored love relationship with Besigye’s wife Winnie Byanyima.

Taking to social media, Byanyima posted on her socials accusing Andrew Mwenda of deviating from the main issue and opting to talk about Museveni’s love relationship with her. This is when she revealed that Mwenda should wait for her book if the Love issue is of interest to him.

Pushing to dig deeper into the matter, NBS Tv’s Canary Mugume secured a one on one with Byanyima and indeed she confirmed that she has ever been in a love relationship with President Museveni.

“Andrew Mwenda wants to remind people that long time a go i had a relationship with president Museveni, yeah i did but what relevance was it there. President Museveni is some body i have known since i first became aware of the world and he was visiting our home when i was maybe three years old…”she revealed

However, hello broke loose when President’s son Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba took to his X formerly Twitter bashing Byanyima and refuting her claims about her love relationship with his dad president Museveni saying Byanyima wanted to wreck their happy family.

Known for taking no prisoner, Winnie Byanyima has taken to her account on X and threatened that if Muhoozi continues to push to the wall with his continued abuses, she’ll be left with no option but to provide HARD evidence of the facts which Muhoozi doesn’t know because there’s a complex history of Museveni and Byanyima that both have chosen not to talk about.

“I feel it’s important to be clear: There is a more complex history between your father and I that we have both chosen to move past with mutual respect. However, if you continue to present a false narrative, I may need to provide HARD evidence of the facts. I prefer to maintain our dignified approach, but that choice remains yours. I consider this matter closed”-posted Byanyima
